Meet Jason Ross
When we were given the opportunity to employ Jason Ross as a part-time helper around the salon, we didn’t realize just how seriously he would take his job! We partnered with Semiahmoo House Society to sponsor Jason’s part-time employment with Fresh Hair Concepts. Jason helps keep the salon tidy and in ship-shape order by cleaning, organizing and being his awesome humorous self. He has a big heart and is a self-proclaimed “ladies man” who isn’t shy when it comes to dishing out compliments and big smiles. The staff at Fresh love having Jason around and it’s clear that he loves being part of the team. Most clients enjoy their brief interactions with Jason and appreciate the opportunity Fresh has given him to learn and experience new life skills. We asked Jason how he felt being on the team and he said:
I’m excited to come to work because it’s like home. I love my job and all of you guys!
We feel the same about you Jason 🙂

Semiahmoo House Society
Semiahmoo House Society, a non-profit organization located in Surrey/White Rock, exists to provide quality services and support to people with disabilities and their families in the community. They believe that people who have disabilities should be valued and included fully in their communities, with the same rights and responsibilities as all people living in Canada. This organization helps us realize that all people have the right to control their own lives through personal choices about relationships, jobs, living arrangements, spirituality, travelling, and recreational activities, and that all people have the right to give back to their communities through volunteering and helping others. Everyone is entitled to live a happy, full and meaningful life. They strive to reinforce and protect these rights by making sure that people are connected to and supported by friends, family, staff, and the community.
