Foods For Stronger Hair

The foods that you eat have a big impact on your hair. There are certain foods that can help you to have stronger, longer hair. If you’re trying to help your hair become healthier or grow faster, then these are some foods you should consider adding into your diet. Not only are these foods good for your hair but they’re healthy food choices that are good for your overall health.

1. Salmon

Salmon is one of the foods that can help you to have stronger, longer hair. You can thank the omega-3 fatty acids for that. They’re amazing for your hair and your heart, too. Salmon has a stronger taste than some other types of fish and can be a bit hard to get used to. Try adding a sprinkle of celery salt and some cheddar cheese on top before you bake it to balance it out.

2. Spinach

Spinach is packed full of good stuff. It has iron and vitamins A and C in it. Vitamin A is great for helping your hair to become stronger and to grow faster. You can eat spinach in many ways so it isn’t hard to add to your diet. You can use it as a base for your salad or add it into lasagna or your morning smoothie. My favorite smoothie is one I make with spinach, yogurt and blueberries.

3. Nuts

Nuts are a superfood when it comes to helping with hair growth. They have magnesium, calcium, healthy fats and the real superpower for your hair, biotin. Almonds and walnuts are especially good when it comes to helping you have stronger, longer hair. You can enjoy nuts as a topping for your oatmeal or on a sundae. They’re also great as a snack by themselves.

4. Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are another food that’s good for your hair. They’re a great source of vitamin A. There are other ways to enjoy sweet potatoes besides the way they’re served up at Thanksgiving, too. Enjoy them baked with brown sugar and cinnamon. Sweet potatoes are also great served in the form of fries, too. It’s a nice change to traditional fries.

5. Eggs

Eggs are a great food for your hair. They’re a good source of both protein and biotin. While you can take biotin supplements, it isn’t the same as getting it from a natural source. Eggs are such a versatile food, too. You don’t just have to have them for breakfast. They’re great in an omelet for supper, too.

6. Berries

Berries are healthy for your hair and that’s especially true for blueberries. They’re packed with great things to help your hair become long and strong. Berries have biotin in them as well as tons of vitamin C which helps aid in blood circulation to your scalp. Berries are yummy any way you eat them. They’re great plain or added into pancakes, muffins or desserts.

7. Peanut Butter

Peanut butter offers you the benefits of both protein and biotin. It’s a good source of protein for vegetarians that want to grow stronger, longer hair. Peanut butter is a childhood favorite for most of us. Enjoy it on a sandwich or in a smoothie. If you have a deep love of peanut butter like I do, you can actually just enjoy a spoonful straight from the jar.
